You’ll find a variety of shows everywhere at PortAventura Park. Enjoy the thrilling adventures at Fort Frenzee in the Far West or the Can Can in the Saloon. Marvel at the exotic dances of Aloha Tahiti and the Birds of Paradise in Polynesia. Relax to the strains of mariachi orchestras in La Cantina Mexicana. Discover the mysteries of China in Sol de Oriente. And be seduced by the calm Mediterranea sunshine.
There are rides of all sizes. The park is divided into ‘countries’, and the theme of the country is apparent in each ride. For example in ‘Mexico’ there is a ‘Sacred Serpent’ ride. This is one ride that’s very good for young children as it’s relatively gentle compared to some of the other rides. Each ride has a guide next to it saying how tall you have to be to experience it, so there’s no need to worry about your children going on a ride that’s too rough.
In the area of the park that is Polynesia, you’ll find a ride called Kontiki Wave. It’s a pirate ship that swings to and fro and is also good for younger children.
Another good ride that is recommended for the little ones is in the ‘Far West’ area. It’s a mini roller-coaster called Tomahawk.
The Far West also has the Buffalo Rodeo dodgem cars that are especially designed for young children
